Lomo anyone?!

One of my birthday presents was a Lomo camera, which I received from my best buddies! <3 It is a permanent companion wherever I go. Unfortunately, developing rolls of film seems to be a quite expensive adventure here in the States (and over half of the photos turned out either too dark, blurry, or not as I expected.. Bummer!) and that is why, the project Lomo remains on hold more or less. But today, I have finally managed to scan some of the acceptable photographs, which I'm going to share with you now (in no particular order).. Here you go!

Pop Punk's Not Dead!

The "Pop Punk's Not Dead" tour was an event I even had been looking forward to while I still was in Germany. I mean, five of my favorite bands (New Found Glory, Set Your Goals, The Wonder Years, Man Overboard, and This Time Next Year) in one evening? Hello?! Pure awesomeness! When I found out that I had my day off on that particular day, I cheered out loud and when Lena told me that she was able to change shifts and could come along, I cheered even louder. When the day came (Oct. 15th), everybody assembled (Lena, Jana, Stefan and me) and we went to Cicis Pizza in order to satisfy our growling stomaches, which we successfully did. After that, we took the bus to Downtown Disney and walked to our final destination, House of Blues. I had a feeling which turned out to be true and we met some of the bandmembers on the promenade before the concert and after some chit-chat (Chad Gilbert, guitarist of New Found Glory wants to trade jobs with me, haha) and taking photos, we arrived at the concert hall. Sweet sidenote: an (unfortunately) unkown singer/songwriter played his songs in front of HOB for free, and he did an AWESOME job! I won't write much about the concert itself, let me just tell you that my expectations were exceeded by far. Every band played an outstanding set and I am more than happy to have been a part of this memorable evening! But have a look at the photos and judge for yourself..

People suck. Pizza doesn't.

My workplace.

It's been a busy time.. My first month here in Florida flew by like seconds, sometimes I ask myself if all this is just a dream. This experience is definitely a life-changing one and I am really glad that I have this opportunity. Okay, enough with this sentimental crap and let's get down to business!
Last friday, my beloved workmate Joooooooy and me went to EPCOT as normal visitors for the first time. Unfortunately, we underestimated the sheer size of the park and as a result, we didn't get to see as much as we wanted to, but it was still fun! It is quite funny to see all the glamour and magic while at the same time you know the mechanisms behind all this. First of all we got to meet all of our favorite Disney characters, then we went to go on a ride called "Test Drive", which imitates a real test drive of a car with sections like rocky road, accelerating, speed test, brake test etc. pp. Afterwards we went to World Showcase (our workplace) and visited countries like Norway, Japan and Germany as well. But it's hard to describe all this with words. This is definitely something you need to experience yourself and until that, I let the photographs speak for themselves.. Enjoy!
